INDIPENDIAMOLI

In 2014 the Chiesa Valdese (Italy) and Agape Onlus (Italy) established a partnership with the aim to share some basic fundraising skills with local NGOs in Mozambique. Passi Societa Cooperativa designed and facilitated a two weeks traineeship program for the volunteers of Vangano Va Infulene, an organization focused on youth entrepreneurship in Maputo.

THE IMPACT

The training course provided six selected beneficiaries with skills in:

• Project Cycle Management
• Strategy
• Grant Writing and Application Procedures for International Cooperation and Development funding

The participants defined their primary needs and the NGO’s fundraising strategy. In only two weeks, three project ideas and funding bids were finalized. A funding proposal for the refurbishment of local maternal health facilities in the Macene hospital will now receive financial support by the local government.
The NGO strengthened its positions in the local community and successfully applied for additional funding for its management needs.
